Travel to Hakone: use the Japan Rail Pass to travel by Bullet train to Odawara, then use your Hakone Free Pass to take the local Odakyu train into the Fuji-Hakone National Park, to reach your hotel in Hakone.

Use your Hakone Free Pass to discover the “Fuji Five Lakes” area.
Travel to Tsumago, by train via Odawara, Nagoya to Nagiso station, then take the local bus service to the pcituresque town of Tsumago.
Stay 2 nights in a ryokan (Japanese inn) including Japanese dinner and breakfast.
Tsumago and Magome are on the Nakasendo, an ancient road that comnnected Kyoto and Edo during the Edo period. Using local buses, walk part of the Nakasendo trail.
Travel to Takayama: from Nagiso station take the JR train via Nakatsugawa and Nagoya to Takayama.
Full day to explore the country town of Takayama, with its traditional buildings.
Travel to Kanazawa: take the JR Express “Wide View Hida” to Toyama and the the Bullet train to Kanazawa.
Explore the castle town of Kanazawa, and take an excursion by bus to Shirakawa-go, with its traditional farmhouses.
Travel to Kyoto, just two hours away on JR’s “Thunderbird” Limited Express train.
Full day free to explore the historic city of Kyoto.
Use your Japan Rail Pass to travel to Hiroshima by Bullet train, direct or via Shin-Kobe (approx 2.5 hrs).
Full day free to explore Hiroshima with its Peace Park and Peace Museum, and the nearby island of Miyajima with the Itsukushima Shrine.
Travel to Fukuoka by Bullet train.
Stay 1 night.
After breakfast, transfer to airport for departure.
