Nozawa Onsen is not just a ski resort, but a small rural town, in the Japan Alps a few hours north-west of Tokyo. It combines traditional Japanese village life with an abundance of 100% natural, high-quality powder snow that lasts well into early May.

Mt. Kenashi (1,650m) is the focus of the snow action at Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, with an altitude differential of 1,085 metres and a total ski slope area of 297 hectares.

The massive variety of slopes and courses, including the exciting Snow Park, guarantees satisfaction to snow lovers of all levels from the advanced to beginners as well as families.

Nozawa Onsen is not just well-known for its snow, but it is one of the oldest hot spring resorts in Japan. There are many public hot spring baths across town, in various hotels and traditional Japanese inns, so you are spoiled for choice when looking for somewhere to unwind after a hard day on the slopes.
