About Tokushima

Located on Shikoku island and in the prefecture of the same name, Tokushima is a city based on agriculture, and has beautiful, natural scenery.

Not only is the scenery stunning, Tokushima has many historic traditions such as the Awa Odori (dance) festival, which is famous nationwide and takes place 12th – 15th  August each year. If your stay does not coincide with these dates, there is the Awa Odori Kaikan in which viewers are invited to watch the tradition in action throughout other times of the year.

Additionally, there are hundreds of shrines throughout the area such as the Ryozenji Temple or Konsenji Temple, which can be reached by hiking. There are also many opportunities for outdoor adventures such as paragliding or kayaking.
