Kowloon

The Kowloon peninsula is the mainland over the water from Hong Kong Island, comprising the southern district of Tsim Sha Tsui (pronounced chim-sa-choi), Yau Ma Tei and Mong Kok.
Some say that Kowloon is more down-to-earth and Chinese than Hong Kong Island, but in fact most of the major international hotels are found in Kowloon's shopping and hotel district of Tsim Sha Tsui.
