JTB is the AUTHORISED AGENT worldwide for Ghibli Museum tickets
for foreign visitors

Limited numbers of advance tickets are available to purchase for overseas visitors.
The museum makes confirmed admission available for specific dates only. These are sold worldwide through the JTB Group.

If you are outside Europe, you may find that buying from one of JTB's other offices worldwide will be most convenient. Please see the list of outlets on the Ghibli Museum official website.

Ticket details

Eligibility: This facility is available for non-residents of Japan only.

From the begining of each month, confirmed admissions are available for the following 3 months
(eg. from the begginning of January, admissions are available for January, February, March, April only)

Prices:

Adult	Aged 19 and over	Yen 1,000
Child	Age 13 - 18	Yen 700
	Age 7 - 12	Yen 400
	Age 4 - 6	Yen 100

The £ sterling price of the tickets depends on JTB UK's monthly exchange rate.
A handling charge of £ 3.50 per ticket will be added.

JTB UK Ltd. issues a Confirmation Slip showing the admission date and the visitor's name.
This should be presented at the Museum on the day, together with passport (to confirm ID)
in order to obtain the entrance ticket on the spot.
The confirmation allows you to visit the museum at any time on the specified day.

The museum is open 10:00-18:00

Closed every TUESDAY

The Museum will be closed:
21-31May13 (periodic maintenance)
29Sep, 01Oct
05-15Nov (periodic maintenance)
and at Year-end and New Year Holidays.

a maximum of 6 tickets may be purchased at a time.
once the reservation is confirmed, date change is not possible
confirmed reservations are non-refundable.

To buy tickets

Please e-mail us at info@japanspecialist.co.uk with the following information:

your preferred date, and an alternative date if this is not available
details of all visitors you are buying tickets for:
names (as they appear on the passport), gender and age
the delivery address to which the Confirmation Slip should be sent
credit/debit card details for payment. If you do not wish to include credit card details on the email, please contact us by telephone on (+44)(0)20 8237 1605 to provide payment details.

We have to send the actual original Confirmation Slip to you.

Booking should be made at least 10 days before departure from the UK (14 days in the case of Europe)

We cannot guarantee delivery timescales, as these are outside our control.
For this reason, you are strongly recommended to buy your Ghibli Museum entrance from us well in advance, in order to allow plenty of time for the Confirmation Slip to be delivered to you before your departure for Japan.

If you request Ghibli Museum tickets 1 week or less before your departure, the Confirmation Slip will be sent Special Delivery, at a cost of £8.00 (or £12.00 in the case of ordering on Friday)

Getting there

The museum is in Mitaka Inokashira Park.

Take the JR Chuo line from Shinjuku station in Tokyo to Mitaka station (approx. 20 mins).
Then from the south exit of Mitaka station, walk along the pleasant Tamagawa Josui ("Waterworks" street) straight along to the entrance of Inokashira Park, and then down to the museum (approx 15 mins).

Alternatively, a shuttle bus operates from Mitaka Station to the Museum. Look out for the yellow buses with Ghibli characters painted on the side, which stop at the dedicated Ghibli bus stop by the station.
Fare: one-way ¥ 200 / return ¥ 300. Half price for children under 12.
